PHOTOSHOP USERS FAQS
How are your files delivered?
Each template is saved as a layered PSD file that must be edited in Photoshop and Photoshop Elements (PhotoPea may work but is not guaranteed). All layers are labeled for easy editing. Links to the fonts required are listed on the top layer of each file and coordinates are listed on the bottom layer/layer group. Edited files should be saved as a single Overlay PNG file. What fIle Resolutions do you use?
- 4×6 files come in two sizes: 1844 x 1240 pixels and 1800 x 1200 pixels.
- 2×6 files come in two sizes: double strips are 1240 x 1844 pixels and single strips are sized to 600 x 1800 pixels
- Squares are 1600 x 1600 pixels
- Story Templates are 1080 x 1920 pixels
Which editing software do you recommend?
Our templates are designed to be edited in Photoshop (CC or later) or Photoshop Elements (version 18 or later). However, we highly suggest using Photoshop CS or CC over Photoshop Elements. The process to edit template colors is much simpler in the professional version of Photoshop.

We are currently working to test our templates in Photopea.com. The templates we have tested seem to work in this program. However, we cannot guarantee that every template will be editable in Photopea.
Do You offer Customization Assistance?
Our templates are offered on a “self service” basis, and we are currently unable to offer customization services or software support. Before signing up, we suggest that you try out a sample template to make sure that you feel comfortable editing in Photoshop and loading the file into your software. If you are new to Photo Booth Talk, you may download a sample template – HERE.
Are your templates compatible with my software?
Our templates are compatible with most professional photo booth software programs on the market today including Breeze, Darkroom Booth, DSLRBooth, Foto Master, Photoboof, Photo Booth Upload, Snappic and Social Booth.
Coordinates are provided on each template. Coordinates are are not guaranteed and minor adjustments may need to be made for some photo booth programs.
Our templates will not work with Salsa Booth, Darkroom Booth for iPad or TouchPix without making some complicated adjustments. Programs that do not allow flexibility with photo placement will not be compatible with most of our designs.
Do you include fonts?
All fonts used in our templates are free for commercial use. However, due to distribution restrictions, we are unable to include font files in the template package. Instead fonts names and links to download fonts are listed on the top layer of each file. Just copy and paste the URL into your browser, download the font files, unzip and install them on your system.
Do you offer Refunds?
Due to the digital nature of our service, we do not offer refunds of any kind. Please use our free test template and watch our tutorials to make sure that you are comfortable before signing up for The VIP Template Club.
DARKROOM USERS FAQS
Due to the increase in Canva Users and decrease in Darkroom Booth Memberships, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue creating Darkroom Booth templates beginning January 2024. We are working on adding new Canva sets monthly and will soon add a FAQ section for Canva Users.
How are your files delivered?
Each template is saved as a layered XBDR file that can only be edited in Darkroom Booth’s template editor. XBDR files are not compatible with any other photo booth software. Links to fonts required are listed on the accompanying PDF file. Some XBDR files are compressed in a zip folder and may need to unzipped prior to use. Please watch this video for instruction on how to install XBDR files in Darkroom Booth.
